Perhaps it's just a matter of refinding that love of writing which you seem to have lost.

A lot of people tend to think that blog posts are written for an audience - or "the" audience. But I think all writing should be done for yourself. Otherwise your creative energies just spend themselves "out there"; when really, we're most interested in what *you* have to say.
Good luck with it!

Same over here. I really wanted to blog more but it is hard to do it on the side. Especially since you do not want to bore people with your posts. My common rule is that I only blog stuff which I already talked about with my friends or colleagues and got good feedback or a nice onversation in return. That way it is a lot easier to find out what is worth blogging about see it as your personal filter.

Moreover did you ever think about moving away from long posts and more into the direction of tumblr? My recent posts already go into that directions and I am thinking about how I can change my site so that it reflects my blogging style better.

cheers
