We were sad to be leaving Sydney, but knew we’d be returning someday. And besides, the Gold Coast was beckoning!

Our day started with a move from Steve’s house into a hotel, then a trip to Bondi beach.
My old habits of waking at 5am returned, but it was a good thing for a chance to get more time exploring the mountains.
